Displaying God's Glory

The Purpose of the Beautification Ministry?

There is a two-fold purpose of the Beautification Ministry: 1. to create a welcoming upon arrival on our campus and inside the sanctuary, and to create an atmosphere which reflects our Heavenly Father's creation and to beautify his house of worship as it magnifies the name of the Lord. The ministry is lead by Evangelist Barbara Stokes who doesn't mind using her gifts and talents to carry on the ministry which was started and led by the late Mother Alma Barnes.

What We’re Doing:

  1. Ensure the sanctuary, as well as all other areas of the church are appropriately decorated according to the seasons and occasions, such as Christmas, Easter, and Thanksgiving, and other special events.
  2. We consult with our Pastor on a regular basis concerning any special sanctuary requests.
  3. We attempt to comply with requests of ministry leaders for special events.

Watering the Plants

Evangelist Stokes is watering the plants in the front of the building.  She does it with joy.  The plants are so beautiful from one season to the next.

PLANTS ARE ESSENTIAL TO LIFE

Plants are essential to life.  The essential benefits of plants toward mankind has been evident from the Garden of Eden; GENESIS 2:8-10

And the Lord God planted a garden eastward in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had formed.

And out of the ground made the Lord God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

And a river went out of Eden to water the garden; and from thence it was parted, and became into four heads.

Plants provide clean air, water, and food.  Plants also have certain healing properties. King David in the Bible; in Psalm 103:1-2 urges us to not forget the great benefits of our heavenly Father and all the benefits of his creation.

Psalm 103:1-2,

Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless his holy name.  Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:

Evangelist Barbara Stokes, Beautification Ministry Leader
